Mary Cragg


Qualifications: Cert Ed, Dip SpLD (OCR)

I began my career as a class teacher but have worked in the field of Special Educational Needs for over 25 years, first as part of Cambridgeshire Learning Support Service and then Peterborough Learning Support Service. In 2003 I was a founder member of Support For Learning with Wendy and Hilary. As part of my consultancy role I have been a SENCO in a number of schools.

Carly Pearson


Qualifications: BSc (Hons), PGCE, NASENCO, PG Dip SpLD, APC (Patoss)

During my 20-year-long primary teaching career, I have specialised in early years education and previously worked as a Local Authority consultant for the sector. With over 15 years’ experience as a school SENCO, I have supported children with a wide range of SEND and learning differences across several local primary schools. I gained my SpLD assessment qualification in 2016. I currently work as a SENCO in a Peterborough primary school and as a consultant for SFL on a part-time basis.

Nicola Ward


Qualifications: BA (QTS) Hons PG Dip SpLD NASENCO AMBDA

With over 25 years’ experience of primary teaching I am currently a SENCO at a Peterborough primary school. I am a previous member of PACDDA (Peterborough & Cambridgeshire District Dyslexia Association). I have an interest in trauma informed practice and have undertaken training with Brighton University to become an Attachment Lead for Schools. I work part time as a consultant for SFL.

Sue Deoraj


Qualifications: BSc.(Hons) QTS. Dip.SpLD

With a 25 year teaching career in Special Needs education, including working as SENCO and Head of an Enhanced Resource Base in a Peterborough secondary school, I have extensive experience of a wide range of disabilities. I am now working as a SEN consultant, conduct Access Arrangements in schools and work part time for SFL.

Ruth Gibson


Qualifications: BSC (hons), PGCE, OCR Cert SpLD

I have had over 30 years experience as a primary school teacher, teaching the whole age range from Reception through to Year 6. I have worked in the field of SEN for over 25 years, initially as a Learning Support Teacher in a variety of Peterborough Schools and also, for many years, as a school-based SENCO. I qualified as a Dyslexia Specialist Teacher and Assessor in July 2005 and as a 'Readers Count' teacher in July 2015.
